MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION PROCEDURES
Enroll in Freedom National Bank’s Enhanced Online Security:
1. Log In section
a) Enter your current Access ID (previously referred to as User ID). Click Submit.
b) Enter your current Password. Click Submit.
2. Set Security Data section
a) Information
b) Contact Information (if needed)
i) Enter your E-mail Address.
ii) Confirm your E-mail Address.
c) Image and Phrase - Enter a Pass Phrase for the randomly selected Authentication Image.
d) Challenge Questions and Answers
i) Select Challenge Question 1 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
ii) Select Challenge Question 2 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
iii) Select Challenge Question 3 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
iv) Select whether or not you would like to register the personal computer. Only register personal computers that you frequently use and are not available for public use.
e) Click Submit. You will be brought to the Account Listing for your Freedom National Bank accounts and Online Banking will look like it normally does. The next time you log in, Enhanced Online Security will recognize you and display your Authentication Image and Pass Phrase.
Log in with Enhanced Online Security (once you have already enrolled in Enhanced Online Security) from a Registered PC:
Log In section
1. Enter your current Access ID. Click Submit.
2. Your Authentication Image and Pass Phrase are displayed.
a) If the image and phrase match, enter your Password. Click Submit. You will be brought to the Account Listing for your Freedom National Bank accounts and Online Banking will look like it normally does. The next time you log in, Enhanced Online Security will recognize you and display your Authentication Image and Pass Phrase.
b) If the image and phrase do not match, do not enter your password. Start over or contact Freedom National Bank at (401) 949-1600 or (866) 920-BANK (2265) for assistance.
Log in with Enhanced Online Security (once you have already enrolled in Enhanced Online Security) from a Non-Registered PC:
1. Enter your current Access ID. Click Submit.
2. Answer challenge question.
a) Answer correctly à Go to Step 3.
b) Answer incorrectly à If you answer the question incorrectly two times, a second challenge question will be asked. If the second challenge question is answered incorrectly two times, you will be denied access.
i) You are required to contact Freedom National Bank at (401) 949-1600 or (866) 920-BANK (2265) to unlock the account or reset the Password.
ii) If denied access and Freedom National Bank has been contacted, go to Step 1 again to start over.
3. Select whether or not you would like to register the personal computer. Only register personal computers that you frequently use and are not available for public use.
4. Click Submit.
5. Your Authentication Image and Pass Phrase are displayed.
a) If the image and phrase match, enter your Password. Click Submit. You will be brought to the Account Listing for your Freedom National Bank accounts and Online Banking will look like it normally does. The next time you log in, Enhanced Online Security will recognize you and display your Authentication Image and Pass Phrase.
b) If the image and phrase do not match, do not enter your password. Start over or contact Freedom National Bank at (401) 949-1600 or (866) 920-BANK (2265) for assistance.
Change your Authentication Image, Pass Phrase, and Challenge Questions:
Once logged into Online Banking, select Change Security Data from the Options menu at the top of the screen.

a) Click the Change Image link. You will be brought to a library of images to choose from. Select an image of your choice.
b) Enter an Authentication Pass Phrase for the image.
3. Change Challenge Questions and Answers
a) Select Challenge Question 1 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
b) Select Challenge Question 2 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
c) Select Challenge Question 3 from the drop-down menu. Enter your Answer to that question.
4. Click Submit. You will be brought to the Account Listing for your Freedom National Bank accounts and will have an Info box stating Security Data Changed Successfully. The next time you log in, your new Security Data (new Authentication Image, new Pass Phrase, and/or new Challenge Question) will be displayed.
ENHANCED ONLINE SECURITY FAQ’S
Q. What is Enhanced Online Security?
A. Enhanced Online Security is an additional layer of security to our log in process. This helps ensure that your information is secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.
Q. How does Enhanced Online Security work?
A. Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two ways. Every time you log in to Online Banking, the bank identifies you, and it lets you identify the bank using a secret image and pass phrase.
Q. Why do we need Enhanced Online Security?
A. Freedom National Bank is adding another layer of security to protect our customers’ information and their online banking accounts. Enhanced Online Security also guards against ever-increasing emails scams called phishing and pharming.
Q. Has my Password changed?
A. No. You can still use your current password for logging in to Online Banking.
Q. How do I enroll in Enhanced Online Security?
A. Customers will automatically be prompted to the enrollment screen when they log in to Online Banking. Enhanced Online Security is very easy to use. Just follow the instructions provided to learn how to activate and how to log in to Online Banking.
Q. If someone steals my password, will Enhanced Online Security prevent them from accessing my account?
A. Yes. If the unauthorized person tries to log in to your account from another computer, they will be asked one of your challenge questions. Without this additional personal information, they will not be allowed to log in to your account.
Q. What keeps someone from stealing my Enhanced Online Security image and pass phrase?
A. Your Enhanced Online Security image and pass phrase automatically appear only if you log in from a computer we already recognize as yours. If you log in from a different computer, we will ask one of your challenge questions before showing the image.
Q. How do I know I’m at Freedom National Bank’s Online Banking site?
A. Your secret Enhanced Online Security image and text phrase will appear confirming that you are at the Bank’s legitimate Web site.
Q. How does Freedom National Bank know I’m logging in from my own computer?
A. When you enroll, Enhanced Online Security uses a cookie to identify your computer. Each time you log in, our software identifies your computer, your IP address, and other unique identifiers. The cookie is secure and does not contain any personal information.
Q. If I delete cookies, will I have to register the computer again?
A. Not necessarily. If you have Adobe® Flash® Player installed on your computer, we will use Flash shared objects to identify your computer in the event that we can’t identify your cookies. By using Flash shared objects as a backup method for recognizing you as a valid user, we ensure that your log in experience is as quick and convenient as possible.
Q. Can I access Online Banking from multiple computers?
A. Yes. You can access Online Banking from any number of computers. If you log in from a computer that you haven’t used for Online Banking before, you just need to answer one of your challenge questions to verify that it’s you. You can register as many PCs as you’d like.
Q. I share my computer with someone else who also uses Online Banking. Can both of us still log in from this computer?
A. Yes. There’s no limit to how many people can log in to Online Banking from the same computer. Remember not to share your Access ID, Password, or answers to your challenge questions.
Q. Can I change my Enhanced Online Security image, text phrase, and challenge questions (or email address)?
A. Yes, after logging in, select Options, then Change Security Data. Freedom National Bank will never ask to change your Enhanced Online Security information, and we will never change it for you.
Q. Is there a fee for using Enhanced Online Security?
A. Enhanced Online Security is free. It’s another way Freedom National Bank is working with you to safeguard your privacy and security.
